The Walnut Hills girls tennis team has made history! For the first time since 2014, the Lady Eagles are Eastern Cincinnati Conference Champions, finishing the regular season with an outstanding 15–2 record.
Led by Head Coach Liz Brown, who was named ECC Coach of the Year, the Eagles displayed grit, consistency, and team unity all season long. At the forefront of their success was Perasa Poomponit, who earned ECC Player of the Year honors after a dominant season at first singles.
Walnut Hills’ depth and talent were on full display, with five players earning All-Conference recognition, underscoring the program’s strength across the board.
“This group has worked incredibly hard,” said Coach Brown. “They believed in each other, stayed focused, and represented Walnut Hills with class every step of the way.”
The Lady Eagles’ return to the top of the ECC marks a new chapter for the program—one built on teamwork, resilience, and the drive to restore championship tradition. Congratulations to our ECC Champion Lady Eagles!
